Yay Cubbies!
The last time they won a post-season was in 1908. There were only 46 states, no world wars, and thankfully, no George Bush.

They've done it again! Partying at Wrigley continued on at least until 1:00am this morning (with hooting and hollering to wake the dead)!

Good Job Cubbies, this year we're gonna take that pennant.

1. Hooray indeed!
Been a Cub fan for about 35 years and have (obviously) waiting a lifetime for this. '84,'89, and'98 were fun, but nothing like this. I am a true believer. In Dusty we trusty. Hey, I just thought of something. I wonder if limpballs thinks its a "liberal" media conspiracy because Dusty is black? But then, who cares? GO CUBS!!!!!!!!!

2. Rush says...
"The only reason that Atlanta threw that game to the Cubs is because there is not enough attention paid to African-American managers."

7. It looks like warmer weather for Chicago ...
I was told by my grandfather it would be a "cold day" when the cubs go to another world series...I hope the weather cooperates...

4. Sox-Cubs Would Be A Leading Indicator
A sure sign of the political apocalypse will be if we see the Red Sox and Cubs in the World Series.

A Sox-Cubs World Series will certainly mean that we will see our party retake the House, Senate, and Presidency in 2004.

6. If that's true

then I'll let my Yankees give up a Series victory to insure it. Hell, I'll even commit blasphemy by getting a Red Sox hat.

On edit: Well, maybe not that far. I'll get a Cubs hat instead and root for them since my good friend is from Chicago.

9. In the immortal words of our fearless"leader"
Bring it on! Although, if a Yankee fan wears a Red Sox hat, I'd be seriously worried. It'd be like me wearing a Cardinal hat. It ain't happening. GO CUBS!!!!!!!!

11. After 9/11
I told my wife I was going to wear a Yankess hat in solidarity during those terrible days when we were all New York fans. This was with tears in my eyes. We are life long Red Sox fans. I ended up wearing a FDNY instead. I love NY! But I feel a sense of normalcy returning. YANKEES SUCK! Keep Hope Alive.
