Poll question: Do You Like "Dirty" Politics?
Do you like to know all the dirty, behind-the-scenes, before-they-were-famous, accounts of politician's private lives?

The mud-slinging, the fighting, the scandals....

Or do you enjoy campaigns that are based on issues more? They may be dry, and sometimes dull, but they get the job done.

I think that digging up the past is fine, we should know who we are voting for. When I think about dirty politics, Rove and his push polls come to mind. "Would you vote for John McCain if he fatherd a love child with a black woman." Now that is dirty.

2. You need to distinguish between

dirty but honest and
dirty and dishonest.

I think it's fine to point out that Ahhhnold has a history of disrespecting women, but it would not be fine to claim that Ahhhnold was a card-carrying Communist without some documentary proof.

Dirty truth is OK
Dirty lies are not.

3. I must be in the dirty camp...
But I feel if they'd prosecuted him sooner, they'd have saved CA a lot of trouble, which is what Schwarzenegger would surely cause the state foolish enough to elect him. These groping charges, if true, are too late to be politically effective, and should have been raised earlier---yes, even for political advantage.
