You'll be seeing less of me here at DU
Edited on Tue Oct-07-03 08:17 AM by LynneSin
Well, only about 10lbs less anyways.

I hope this is a good start to the next 50lbs that needs to go. Thank you for all your encouragement as I tackle my greatest problem in my life. I didn't gain overnight so this isn't going to go away overnight. But I'm hoping by the time we all meet at the protests in NYC for the Republican convention that I'll be my newer and healthier 165lbs (I'm 5'10 - anything less than that on me is an eating disorder!)

:grouphug:

edit note: that's the protests at the republican conventions. These protests they'll be talking about for decades to come in the history books!!

7. We are practically in the same boat.
I am almost at a 10 lb loss and I need to lose 40 more. I am rooting for you. I know you will make it. For me, this time it almost seems easy.

9. We all know that fat is stored energy...
we also know, that energy can be neither created nor destroyed, only altered, stored or deflected.

The big question I have, is why am I the recipient of everybody elses loss? I seem to be gaining!

In any case, Congrat's! Hang in there.

I might just come back to NYC for the GOP deathwatch. I'm sure I can expend much of this stored energy of mine there.

:bounce:

12. Good For You!
My wife and i recently joined (at an incredible good price) a new health club in town. My goal is upper body strength and flexibility for golf, some stamina for my MS riddled legs, and my wife's is tone and to lose 15 pounds!

We start when i get back from England. So, we're pulling for you and empathising as we head down the same path.

14. Way to go!
As a fellow perpetual dieter (I didn't have a weight problem until I started with the sedentary behind-the-desk jobs), I'm more than aware of what you're dealing with. Remember, though, that the hardest part is maintaining the weight loss once you've reached your goal.
