1. I'm with you
The outcome is completely inexplicable.

I thought for sure when the bimbo eruption happened last week that women would turn against him in droves. I'm afraid to say it, but what we may have here is the big dog alpha male of the Pubbie party. Teflon Arnold. Comeback Kid II.

Thank God he can't run for president in 2008.

3. Not so fast, zube.
Conservatives such as Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Orrin G. Hatch (R-Utah) and liberals such as Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) favor opening the presidency to immigrants. Hatch's bill would allow people who have been citizens at least 20 years to hold the office, while Frank is supporting a House bill with a 35-year citizenship requirement.

And welcome to DU on another sad morning.

5. I really hope that goes to a vote...
That is the dumbest shit I've ever heard. It was always about natural citizens taking office, so that our country can't get opened up to foreign governments and be jacked around and handed on a silver platter some idiot third world country that will bankrupt us and screw us over...Why would we want an immigrant to do this, when we have people who were born here who is doing that now? (Shrub) We have problems with our own citizens, why should we open it up to foreign people to screw it up.

7. Oh but things can get worse
That goddamn Orin Hatch is going to try to ammend the constitution to take out the US born citizen requirement to become president.

Imagine Arnie can go in on a whim and become president if he feels like it. Not that he couldn't do a better job than the shithead we have in there now.

9. As much as I hate to say this...
I don't think we've seen the bottom yet.

Just like individuals, govt's have to hit rock bottom before it makes a turnaround. I look for more bad news. I still have a real problem with BBV, the CIA leak and anything else the admin has up it's sleeve.

We've got a way to go before we can climb back up.
