Two thoughts on yesterdays California...

1) The election was very close (on the recall), and Arnold is not the worst republican they could have gotten. He is moderate on several social issues, so they are at least safe for now.

2) At least Ward Connerly's Anti Affirmative Action measure was soundly defeated.
