Let's have the next recall election right here in the Lounge!

We'll assume, thanks to patented BBV technology, plus my own hand-count of the absentee ballots :-) that Schicklgroper goes down on Part One of the ballot.

Now, on to the juicier Part Two. It's obvious that only another celebrity could possibly carry the day, so we'll limit the choices to them.

* Rush Limbaugh: Has been compared to a flaming Nazi gasbag. Abuses OxyContin, which is even more dangerous than steroids. Refers to women as "femi-nazis".

* Charles Manson: Perhaps not a "celebrity" as such, but did murder one, plus he has at least as much name recognition as a "real" celebrity. Also, carved a swastika in his forehead, so he won't have to face any embarrassing questions about whether he admires Hitler.

* Robert Guillaume: Played a lieutenant governor on "Benson". Since on-screen experience is obviously more important than real-life experience, Guillaume could be the man. On the downside, he is an excellent actor, and so may not be fit to carry on in the tradition of Raygun and Schicklgroper.

* Buzz Lightyear: So what if he's a computer-generated construct? The polls show that all Kalifornia voters want is a "strong leader", and Buzz wears a uniform!

And so, DUers, to the polls!

After all, he went from being a driver, to head of the CIA, to President, to God. That's a fine progression, as Pat says.

My three year old grandson would be thrilled!

Plus, since he's made of pixels, we don't have to worry about him groping anybody!

But then, since he consists of computer software, that opens up a possible BBV angle...

Oh heck, let's just Zoooooooooom! for Governor Lightyear!!!
