4. No.
Missouri, I think but I can't remember right now. Brigham Young took them to Utah. Oh yes, I think Joseph Smith was jailed in Carthage, Missouri with his brother and several of the elders. They were killed in jail.

3. No, he didn't.
Brigham Young led them the rest of the way, after Smith was killed.

6. Funky Religions?
That's an awful thing to say. We try to display a caring and accepting party, and you start attacking religions?

That comment is no better than what the repubs are doing to islam, but you are supposed to be more educated and accepting.

7. I agree. We don't have to agree with them, but we shouldn't
attack them. BTW welcome j_klondowski! Glad you're here!

9. Poor Joe Smith should have invented bulletproof holy underwear
No doubt the charges of being a "horse thief" were probably false. Funny how that often happens to guys when they're starting a church the masses don't agree with.

10. Joseph Smith did have a son......
...who moved to San Francisco after his fathers death.
He met a lady who was the daughter of a wealthy gold miner.
He married the lady in the early 1900's and later found out that he had a twin brother.

After much searching he finally did locate his long lost twin who,
much to Joseph's surprise, was a brilliant business man.
They eventually form a small company which manufactured throat lozenges....
which in the 1910's became "Smith Brothers cough drops".

Because this is completely false. Cute, though.

11. Does the Church of LDS believe in
...inerrancy of the Book of Mormon?

If so, I think that makes them fundamentalist.
