Is my bookmark link problem Yahoo or Netscape?
my bookmark links haven't worked properly in almost a month (yahoo homepage and running netscape instead of IE).

it is sooooo frustrating! i click on a bookmark (like DU, democrats.com, or MWO), and the site won't open. i have to refresh my homepage and try again 4 or 5 times, type in the entire address manually, or use a back door (like buzzflash links) to get where i'm going.

neither yahoo nor netscape will answer help inqueries.

can a guru offer suggestions?

1. Close out
your browser and netscape mail windows. Do the three finger salute(Ctrl+Alt+Del) and look in to see if you have a Netscape process running in the background, you may have went to a site that had bad script running, like an ASP site and it has corrupted you N browser. Close out(End Task) the Netscape process. You may get a "program not responding" message, click on end task again and relaunch your browser, should work. The new Netscape has popup window blockers and when sites try and launch popups using VB or JS, it could corrupt your browser, happens every now and then to me also.

I hate IE.... so that is not an option.

2. You have both Netscape and IE on the same computer?
If so, there's problem #1. These things will fight each other for dominance worse than a pair of schoolyard boys. And just when you've declared one as your default browser, the other one will mount a sneak attack.

Older versions of Netscape also used to "clog" on my PC. The browser would just sit there, ostensibly loading a page for eight or 10 minutes. Doing CTRL-ALT-DEL and End Task got to be too much trouble, so I finally gave up and went to IE--just becuase most of the world uses it. But Bill Gates is STILL Satan!

3. I disagree
I am a web developer and I have three version of netscape and one version of IE and have not had any problems with them fighting with each other for over 6 years. ONce I define my default browser(Net), that was the end of that. If his links are not working in N, it is the problem I defined earlier.
