PUKE! Oh my gosh, look what I was just forwarded (Warning:high puke factor
Ok, so I know a lot of older people due to the things I sell on ebay...and I become friends because, well, they are very nice people...anyways, one of the ladies just sent me this...I'd never seen it before...but I'm highly offended...should I write back? or do you think just let it drop?

> In light of the many perversions and jokes we send to one another
>for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke,
>it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.

> Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane
>Clayson asked her "How could God let something like this happen?"
>(regarding the attacks on Sept. 11). Anne Graham gave an extremely profound
>and insightful response. She said "I believe God is deeply saddened by

>our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives.

> And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out.
>How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we
>demand He leave us alone?" In light of recent events...terrorists attack,
>school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she
>was murdered, her body found recently) complained she didn't want prayer in
>our schools, and we said OK.

> Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school ... the
>Bible says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your

>shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave because their little

>it out. I think it has a great deal to do with "WE REAP WHAT WE SOW."

>but question what the Bible says.

> Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like
>wildfire but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people

> Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to

>it... no one will know you did. But, if you discard this thought process,
>don't sit back and complain about what bad shape the world is

3. where is my barf bag???
gee, this country has instigated a pre-emptive war against a poor nation because god told the fool in charge to do so. god told the fool that it is his mission to eradicate evil.

looks like god is being too much of a busybody, doesn't it?

4. I'd write back...
"Gosh....you know Osama Bin Laden and his followers are absolutely convinced that God IS on their side, and say so all the time. Do you think that's true? Or do you think that the blowhards who make the loudest noise about God in public are those least likely to be in tune with Him, if He's there at all?
Didn't Jesus say, "And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men"?"

5. Hmmmmm...
The Right sharply criticized activists on the Left after 9/11 who made arguments that seemed to suggest we brought the attacks on ourselves. At the same time, they kind of looked the other way when people like Graham, Falwell, Robertson and several letters to the editor around the country made similar arguments: that the US "deserved" the attacks because we are not a theocracy.

8. Like today ...
when Robertson apologized for saying they should set off a nuclear device at the State Department?

If a conservative says it, it was in jest, of course.

But if a liberal says it ....

6. If you respond
just ask her not to send chain e-mails to you anymore. I think the e-mail is offensive and annoying, but telling an elderly woman (and potential customer) to "feck off" is probably not worth the effort.

7. Sounds like BS to me
I don't think god (or lack therof) is responsible for 9-11 or school shootings.

I have several good e-mail friends. If they sent me something like that I would delete it and pretend it never happened.

If you point her to Snopes or one of thge other "de-bunking" sites, you may get a reply of "Well, it OUGHT to be true!" like I did after the ump-teenth "Hillary" lie somebody sent me....

13. So, if Dr. Spock had spanked his son,
his son would not have committed suicide?

That's some really sick shit.
