TV shows you really hate, past or present
Not necessarily bad shows, just the ones you can't stand.

Friends

Murder, She Wrote

Anything Columbo

Dukes of Hazzard (despite those short-shorts)

14. Now, now
I said just the ones you personally loathe. Columbo, for example, is considered a pretty good show, but it makes my skin crawl. Worse is that the wife is a big fan.

6. Oh come now, surely that show is not worse than "Friends"?
Though I'll agree it is a travesty of an aborted joke...

But at least Cousin Oliver wasn't in it! He went on to play Doctor Zee, you know!

Yeah, that's another travesty: "GALACTICA 1980"

22. LOL!
I remember that one, I was eleven years old when it came on and I thought it was brilliant at the time. Now I look at it and wonder how I could have even stood for watching just five minutes of it.

The number one show I just cannot stand and never will be able to stand is The Nanny.

I know there are others, like all the right wing talk shows and Galactica 1980, but Friends comes to mind. Especially when half the actors aren't worth a millionth of their salaries, right Matt?

16. KILL YOUR TELEVISION!! Seriously.
Turn off your TVs and start talking to each other. Nothing good can come of this medium, as it is wholly oned by multi-nationals who do not have the interests of the masses at heart, just their money. Stop watching TV altogether, and you wil feel 150% better. (Except Mystery Science Theatre 3000, the only show worth watching besides the Simpsons.)

Having said that, let me say: Friends REALLY SUCKS!!!!! I HAVE seen this show a couple of times before I turned off the box permamnently, and I have nightmares remembering how horrible it was.

39. KOTH is a poorly-written animated sitcom.
There's NO delving into the unrealistic in that show. But going into unrealism is the one thing that you HAVE to do if you're doing a cartoon. Seth McFarlane mastered that art, which is why Family Guy was one of the funniest shows in history, IMO.

If KOTH was live-action, I wouldn't notice.

It's sad too, because Mike Judge created Beavis and Butt-Head, then that piece of crap.

23. Hollywood Squares is a pathetic farce.
Don't know how it's lasted this long.
Also, Peter Jennings with the ABC News.

Needless to say the entire Faux Network. Programming for mouth-breathing, green teeth, nitwits. The same people that brought us "Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire?".

28. So many to choose from!
Edited on Sun Oct-12-03 03:42 PM by NightTrain
"My Little Margie." The white-bread '50s conformist mentality conveniently boiled down to a single half-hour!

"The A-Team." it featured 34 acts of violence per 60-minute episode. For the early 1980s, that was quite remarkable!

"Married With Children." I was raised in a dysfunctional household. I didn't need to see them romanticized in a sitcom.

"Roseanne." I grew up around working-class white trash. I don't need to see them romanticized in a sitcom. (Gee, is a pattern emerging here???)

"The Cosby Show." What the hell did people see in this show? With an all-white cast, it could easily have run against "Leave It To Beaver" and "Father Knows Best."

"Inside Edition." Before he ever went to Fox News, Bill O'Reilly was still a phony, self-righteous jerk-off. And boy, did he prove it on this show!

"Dukes of Hazzard." It insulted my intelligence, even when I was only 14 and still listened to Shaun Cassidy and Leif Garrett.

Edited on Sun Oct-12-03 06:40 PM by northwest
Miller-Boyett was the group that created all those shit shows. All from the dark ages of TV sitcoms, 1986-1996 (excluding Married With Children, Roseanne and Seinfeld).
