The School of Rock
Edited on Sun Oct-12-03 04:58 PM by supernova
"I serve society by rocking!", so says Dewy Finn, when his tamer than tame roommate wakes him up for the rent money...that Dewey never has.

The School of Rock - aka How to Find your inner Head Banger. This movie is so funny and so much fun at the same time, I can't get over it!!

It's Jack Black channeling John Belushi as Blutto + something else... Jack Osbourne, maybe? It's the shy kids who go from wallflowers to full throttle rockers. It's Joan Cusack as the tight-ass who lets go. It's the substitute teacher you wish you had!

If you haven't seen it, check out the reviews at Rotten Tomatoes:

Have you seen School of Rock? What did you think of it?

1. I saw it a couple of weeks ago, and I reacted much as you have
Joyful, funny--stick it to the man, rock on, and do what you love--that's what I got out of it. Jack Black is a national treasure, the kids were great, and I just loved it.

I've bought of butload of CDs I haven't had in years...I had the vinyls though. But I need something to go in my new DVD player.

I just laughed all the way through the movie. And it's real. There's not a false note in it. That's what is so amazing.

3. Saw it yesterday
And I loved every manic minute of it. I haven't laughed that hard at a movie in a long, long time.
