What's good about being chubby?
I intend to lose 20 pounds to get back to my fighting weight. I look at myself, and don't see so much difference, but know by the lying scales that I am 20 pounds overweight.

For now, I am what I am.

Are there some good things I can take with me mentally as I find my way through tomorrow?

7. Not a damned thing!

The only reason I'm still fat is that I lack the willpower to stay the hell away from sugary foods and drinks. It's times like this I think it might not be a bad idea for me to get myself laid once in a while!

Nah, to hell with it. Getting laid takes too much effort!

8. Q: "What's good about being chubby?"

A: People who are overweight & fall down are less likely to break bones (than skinny people who fall down).

10. I'm in the same boat
Because I'm so short (4'11), being the normal weight of a woman (~155 on the higher end) makes me about 20 pounds overweight. Genetics plays a role though: dad was short and stout.
I'm not pissed about myself; I eat right and exercise.

But probably not for long. I'm still losing weight. I'm at 220 and shrinking.

13. If Y2K would have happened, you could have lived longer without food
off of your stored body fat than skinny people.
