A little bitter, aren't you? Most hated means most successful in my book. You, like most haters, can't stand them because they have more than likely kicked your team's ass on several occasions.

And to hell with your "Texass" statement. Before you indict the whole state, maybe you need to meet and talk with some of us. This kind of bigotry I believe has been addressed on this board before.

6. Im quite serious about this
A case could be made that the original owner of the Cowboys was involved in the JFK assasination.

As a kid I really liked Roger Staubach and Tony Dorsett but the ubiquitous evil of the franchise has me rethinking even them.

Yeah, the owner was part of the conspiracy. And all of us Dallasites, not just a couple of people, shot Kennedy.

Man, this stuff is old. Been hearing it for 42 years, and it is so damned ridiculous.

"Ubiquitous evil" evil because they have kicked ass many a year.

37. So Murchison killed Kennedy
Actually, Clint was admired by many owners and stayed out of the football side, which Mr. Jones is finally learning with his great hire of the Tuna.

Face it, you don't like the Cowboys because they've been winners! And yes, maybe I made a leap, but when my family and I went to Washington DC in 1966 on a trip and said we were from Dallas, no one would associate with us. Pure hatred, pure and simple.

And speaking of owners, how does it feel to root for a team that was owned by a felon? TO on the star - I guess that's alright if you play for the media darlings, but if a Cowboy does a stunt like that - well, you know what would be said.

How about this - 5 and 2 against the 9ers in the playoffs, baby!

I need medication? Yeah, Murchison was part of the plot to kill Kennedy. Do you have any evidence? Let's compare notes, and see who really needs meds?

I have evidence on why you are a hater, and you're not being honest. It's more success on the field, buddy. You never replied to the 5 and 2 record in the playoffs, so I guess you've got nothing there. Just personal attacks.

Hey, bud, just remember football has been played long before 1981. Niner "fans" don't seem to quite get it.

And again, I don't recall a convicted felon owning the Cowboys. I think Eddie D. fits that category.

I need medication? Jeez, your post about Murchison possibly participating in the plot to kill Kennedy is plain hilarious.

How in the hell is Tom Landry responsible for everything's that's wrong. I can see attacking Jerry Jones, but Good Lord, Landry?

I really love this. When talking about the Cowboys, haters lose all perspective. What it all boils down to is the fact that the Cowboys have kicked ass over the years and haters fell the pain.

Unbelievable - Landry was GOP, but he never showed any right-wing fanaticism. Get a clue, folks.

Not "The Sox are great" but "The Yanks are Evil". Its the Yankees fault that the Sox can't win a series. The Yankees are the only team that has a high payroll. If the Yanks lose, I'm rooting for the Cubs because their energy comes from loving their team not hating the Yankees.

28. Really, look at the salary cap
Whoops, there's none in baseball. The Yankees can outspend any other franchise for miles around. That's not only evil, but downright unfair. The Cowboys and other NFL organizations have to play by the salary cap rules. If they go over the cap, it catches up with them later on.

Read "Bronx Zoo" (which I'm sure you have). No franchise is "goody two shoes." NOT ANY FRANCHISE!

The Cowboys are still pure evil, with the Raiders right behind them. The Yankees spend a lot, but that doesn't put them in the same realm of Satan as Jones' clan. Heck, the current Tampa Bay Buccaneers are more evil than the Yankees have ever been.

35. Evil, huh. I actually admire the fact that the Yankees
have won so many championships. I don't hate them because they have "kicked my team's ass," but it is wrong that they get to outspend all other franchises by a country mile and "buy" a championship.

The Cowboys are satan? You know who's satan. Fans of a certain franchise that cheers an opposing player lying on the turf paralyzed. Or writing letters to the editor hoping that the Cowboy charter crashes and kills all of its occupants. Or throwing batteries and ice on opposing players as they leave the field. That is evil, and if you want to know who that franchise is, just look not too far from where you are. I think they like cheese steaks.

39. No, I don't , but I know who you obsessively dislike
And maybe you need to think about the way other franchises are run. Wherever your head lies in teams you like, more than likely they have had their butts kicked by Dallas on several occasions, plain and simple. I'm not asking you to like Dallas, but like all haters, I want all of you to come clean.

No, Cowboy fans have not been documented to EVER cheer a paralyzed player on the field. Like most other franchises, the fans probably more than likely remained silent. However, in good ol Philly, fans cheered in a large way when Irvin lay paralyzed. Documented, heard, and denounced by most. A letter to the editor was sent to the Dallas Morning Whore not too long afterwards by someone claiming Irvin deserved it because of his past indescretions. Unbelievable!

So, no, I know that most fans of most franchises aren't like that. But look at Philly, it is well documented. And in Philly, it is not a small minority, either.

And we've discussed something like this before long ago. I know you are a Packers fan, and they mean a lot to you. Just like the Cowboys mean a lot to me.

What gets me is that no one can be honest about their hatred of Dallas. Their hatred usually is very brutal - like the plane crashing or wishing Irvin were paralyzed. That's when it stops being fun and games in my book.

43. The Yankees win because they spend their money on the team...
not new rides for their theme parks, or funding some oil investments.

Take a look at the sagging NFL and NBA ratings. That's parity caused by the salary cap. Interest in those leagues were highest with the dominance of the Cowboys, Niners, Lakers and Bulls.

Honestly, what kind of ratings would a Jaguars Seahaws Super Bowl draw?

Or a Timberwolves Magic Finals?

The Yankees have a tradition that spans BEYOND free agency. They have always been successful. It takes more than money to win...else the Braves, Red Sox, and Diamondbacks would have several rings.

but a Cubs-Red Sox World Series would pull in high ratings and the Yankees-Mets world series was one of the lowest rated ones.

A Timberwolves-Magic NBA finals would be exciting imo, T-Mac and Garnett are very popular players and people would pay to see them.

Most evil sports franchise is either the New York Rangers, the Detroit Red Wings, or the fuckin' Colorado Avalanche.

But, I wouldn't hate the Avs if they were still Quebec, so keep that in mind.

It just blows my mind that Quebec doesn't have a fucking hockey team, and it pisses me off. Some cities, such as Quebec, deserve a hockey team, whereas some cities, such as Tampa Bay, Miami, Phoenix, Dallas, and pretty much most southern US hockey cities, DON'T FUCKING DESERVE THEM WHEN WINNIPEG doesn't have one.

Oh yeah, and I hate the Carolina Hurricanes, the Atlanta Thrashers, and the Nashville Predators too.

The owner, Carl Pohland, pockets the profits (and the Twins DO make a profit), keeps his revenue shares without reinvesting in the club, and refuses to pay his players market value.

And he's tried to extort local taxpayers to fund a new stadium, even though he's a billionaire and has failed to invest in his own product.

All the while crying poor.

Carl Pohland personifies the evil of unchecked capitalism.

Absolutely evil.

63. Figures. My Whalers can't even win this stupid poll.
Why should I be bitter? After all, when they left Connecticut, where they were the ONLY pro team (the WNBA Sun hardly counts 'cause they play in a casino far out near the R.I. line), it WAS to fill an aching void in hockey-mad Raleigh, N.C. </sarcasm>

And then they have to go make the stinkin' Cup finals -- against Gordie Howe's other team, the Red Wings, no less -- in hockey-mad Raleigh, N.C. "Hey, that Zamboni thing is kinda cool! Why doesn't NASCAR use it for a pace car?"

No doubt...the George Steinbrenner Evil Empire :puke:

George Steinbrenner. In 1989, President Reagan pardoned George Steinbrenner, principal owner of the New York Yankees baseball franchise and a major Republican benefactor. Although Mr. Steinbrenner had pleaded guilty to charges of conspiring to violate federal election laws to President Nixon’s 1972 re-election campaign, the main Watergate prosecutors on the case were never consulted about the pardon.
