let's not lower ourselves to the level of Red Sox fans. We should be above this type of attack, after all, we are Yankee's fans. The greatest fans of the greatest sports team in history. We have nothing to defend, out tradition speaks for itself.

confuse the term greatest, with richest. Like in politics, money can buy anything, and the Yankees have purchased quite a few.

Both the Yankees and Red Sox are an embarressment to the sport.

How about ...

9th inning, game 7, sox up by 1, two outs.

Bullpen maxed out. Sox thaw out Calvin Schiraldi from his cryogenic chamber.

Schiraldi walks three batters in a row to load the bases.

Bobbled easy-out grounder goes toward first. Who's standing there but Bill Buckner! He spreads his legs wide enough for a semi to pass under, and the ball dribbles halfway to Right Field, scoring 2 runs on the error.

Somewhere, the booming voice of the Bambino laughs ...

Fly ball to deep center, Fred Lynn runs into the wall, pretends to be unconsious, as the ball rolls back to the infield.

This is turning into a great series, both playing with a lot of heart.
