It's my favorite game of all time. There is so much to do and so much to see in the game I've played it like 4 or 5 times and I'm always coming across stuff I didn't find before.
I liked Wizardry way back when on Nintendo, even though it was all but text-only. I always meant to get Wizardry 8, but it came out when I still had my old slow computer and by the time I got this one (which of course is now old and slow too compared to the cutting edge) I'd forgotten it. Always looking for a good RPG!
It's not meant for those who like the 'fast paced' games. This one is a bit slower (and gives you time to think about what kind of attacks you're going to use against the monsters that are about to hack you to shreds...)
The game that I'm playing now I came across monsters that I haven't seen in the other go-rounds that I've played.
4. Wizardry took away a month of my life in 1988...

I can't believe it's still around! I'm sure it's much improved. In those days, there was hardly any animation during combat--just the same 'alarum' sounds.
