There's at least one reason to see "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" Remake
Everyone's favorite scene-chewing Sergeant is in it as a crazy Sheriff--R. Lee Ermey.

R. Lee Ermey Knows the Drill

By CHRISTINE ALLEN

On the way to meet with actor R. Lee (FULL METAL JACKET) Ermey on the set of the new TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, it’s easy to feel a little apprehension. Will he be mean? Will he yell? Will he make this writer get down and give him 20? Will he be wearing a uniform? He defies his reputation by not looking at all like he’s supposed to. Dressed for the Texas summer, he’s wearing a light pastel Guayabera shirt and a Panama hat. But at second glance, his wild eyebrows and tattooed forearms reassure that this is, in fact, Gunnery Sergeant R. Lee Ermey.

As he begins discussing his role in CHAINSAW, Ermey reveals that he wasn’t too enthusiastic at first about the opportunity to take part in Marcus Nispel’s reimagining of the horror classic. “Well, it was kind of a favor for New Line,” he says of his casting. “I really didn’t want to go to work. I’m doing my own show on the History Channel . I did WILLARD for New Line earlier this year, co-starring with Crispin Glover, so New Line is my new best friend. When they asked me to do a favor for them and come do this show, I basically couldn’t say no. I’m so busy that I need some time off, but here we are and we’re doing the movie, and I think it’s gonna be pretty good.”

Despite this initial reluctance, Ermey seems to have relished his performance. He describes his character, Sheriff Hoyt, as “a pervert; he’s not a very likable guy. He’s kind of a frightening bastard, as a matter of fact. He raises his voice quite a lot.”
