Will anyone watch a Marlins/Yankees series?
Seriously. Fans want to see baseball history...

If both the Cubs and Red Sox fall today, who's going to be terribly interested in seeing that matchup? If New York and Florida win... MLB loses.

My prediction: One of worst Series television ratings ever.

1. Won't be as good
But, when the Yankees are playing ratings don't go too low because there are so many Yankee fans, and so many Yankee haters. I'll watch just for the pleasure of seeing the Yankees go down. Even if World Series ratings drop it still has been a good ratings playoff season for MLB.

I love baseball. I live baseball. However a Marlins/Yankees series would be uninteresting to me. A Cubs/Sox series, on the other hand, would be historical. (probably hysterical, as well)

6. I won't watch the yankees no matter what....
I was a big fan when I was a kid and saw them play Boston back in 1967.
Big money and especiallly steinbrenner ruined it for me.
I did not like the steinbrenner treated his players or his managers, especially Billy Martin.

Would love to see Sox/Cubs, but I would really enjoy watching the Marlins beat NY. Would watch to see.

13. While 27 World Championships is "history,"...
Many, many more folks would watch simply to see if the Sox can end their frustration... and see the city of Boston lose themselves in cathartic joy. Same goes for the Cubbies, if they were to advance.

Fox would have a emotional dramatic marketing hook, beyond "watch the Yankee Dynasty get another one..."
