hateful, hateful. Just what were they reading. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. My repub family and friends don't argue with me about the war anymore because now they see the truth.

Hey there.. I was just reading your website.. which I got off of a radio show... let me guess which one.. Yes Rush Limbaugh... Anyways.. I saw that banner on your front page, "Anyone but BUSH" ... Now, there's something that Rush has always said.. that you Liberal Democrats just have this seathing hatred for Bush... I now believe him when he says this.. you would rather anyone but him.. you dont care what anyone else does to this country, just that its not Bush, a Republican, running the show... This isnt hate mail.. I do NOT write this in hatred either.. I dont see the point.. I just dont understand why you hate George W. so much... I think hes doing a great job... And I dont understand why you resort to name-calling when your talking about him or Rush Limbaugh.. I read one of your articles.. "Top 10 Idiot Conservatives".. where you called Rush a LardButt or something.. I think thats uncalled for.. I thought you guys were suppose to be more intelligent than that? anyways.. I think Bush is doing a great job but the liberal media likes to make it seem like hes an idiot... I have to put up with hearing that from my roommates all the time.. I just dont see it.. From what I see.. he had perfect reasoning for going to war... and it wasnt that conservatives OR you liberals want the troops to die... Its that this war was for those people in Iraq that were suffering over there under that dictator.. NO ONE wants them to be killed... and thats NOT what Rush said either... I listened to him thru that whole period.. not once did he say anything like that... he jests in it.. but is never serious! Bush had the right motives for that war.. and I commend him for it! Its had nothing to do with his 'political adgenda' here in the States... its just your seathing hatred for him! You will do anything to get that power and thats all that matters to you.. its scarey... anyways... I wish you guys well but hope that you come to realize how you sound sometimes... thank you.

Where DO they come from?

Amazingly enough, Rush, Hannity, etc. have been the source of quite a rift in my personal pond.

I live in a conservative republican stronghold. I work with them, socialize with them, belong to some community groups (not politically affiliated) with them, and show up at various community events with them. I have to; they are everywhere here.

Last year, February or March when we were heading to Iraq, I got sick of hearing one youngish man constantly bragging on Rush & Hannity, and fired back. Hard. Publicly. He was shocked, and fired back. He called me a Saddam-hugger. I pointed out the resemblance to "nigger-lover" and asked him if he was a closet racist, too. Quite a bit more hostile than my usual demeanor! He hasn't spoken to me since. Which is fine; but that particular group also no longer meets. They have broken off into little fragments that don't trust the rest. Which I regret.

I don't think we ought to be calling names, either. It makes us too much like the opposition, which I can't stomach. Rush has helped move us along the path to regarding incivility as the norm. I don't want to go there. So...if you catch me sounding like Rush when I get frustrated with the opposition...be sure to administer some discipline!
