How many enemies do you have?

I have a couple.... always seem to be able to make more when I need to.

Unless I have a whole bunch here that I don't know about.

I always try to get along with everybody I meet. I'm not perfect and I have stepped on some toes in the past, but things have worked out okay.

Now I have been fortunate in that I haven't run across the kind of person you are talking about. If I ever do....well, I don't know what I'll do.

Though there is one little Nazi dweeb where I work that feels that social science research is in fact not a discipline that should include any semblance of human experience merely data. While I respect the gist of what he is saying; we are, contrary to his notions, dealing with human elements to say the very least such that we disagree at a core principle. I lovingly refer to them as 'data gnomes' but they (well...I suppose I shouldn't presume) have to wipe the shit off their ass too.

Is he an "enemy"? Nah...he's just an ass. He can't get me fired. Your enemy could get you fired. At least in my opinion ~

but that is their paranoia. There are very few people I would consider an enemy

three guys who've expressed some random dislike of me and everything they imagine I stand for. I've had very few interactions with them, so I'm not sure what they're basing their opinions on.

In non-cyber day to day life, there was a woman at one of my jobs who actively disliked me and tried to negatively impact my existance. She was under the impression that a friend of mine, whom she had the hots for, was more intimately involved with me than was the case. She left that job, though, and I haven't heard a thing about her since.

There are some people I think are difficult to work with, but most of the current crop I wouldn't actually rate as enemies. I could be mistaken, but they seem to be of the impression that they're better off with me there than the would be with me gone. Idiosyncrasies happen everywhere.

Other than that, I don't believe I have any real enemies. I don't much like what the Republicans and Neocons have done to America, but I cannot call a fellow American an enemy in good conscience, and the teacher in me seeks to educate and understand rather than condemn and alienate.

DON'T WAIT FOR THEM TO STRIKE FIRST SOTERIC!

I'd have to turn my brain back into the manufacturer if I start taking cues from that lot of twits.

It was almost a year ago...this twat in the student union we'll call Jason had a reputation for being an asshole. You know, one of those "I'm on the student union board I rule!" Type guys. Well I was Campus News editor of the campus paper and sent a reporter down there to get a story. This Jason ass was such a dink to my reporter and borderline threaten him. I wrote a letter to the student union saying that his conduct was unacceptable. It's seems as though this instance was his last chance, THIS BEGAN A SHITSTORM...there was talk of kicking him out and reporters from the other campus paper were hounding me..I even had to read the papers every morning to see where I stood.

It went on like that until I was asked to testify at a hearing to boot him out. He hated me I'll tell yah! But the thing was that I was being scapegoated by the board as an excuse to boot him off. I didn't think he deserved to be booted out for it, I just wanted ground rules for future situations laid down. If this jerk was being violent I wanted to know I could send people to the SUB without them being harmed: Right?

End result, he wasn't booted and he never crossed us again. Some say I crossed an ethical line...maybe so in the real world. But in the student world I don't think I did.

But the feeling isn't mutual. It's actually someone who stalked me for a while, made my life total hell for several years. It's why I don't reveal any personal info on chat rooms.

But I better stay away from talking politics with freeper types the way I'm feeling these days, or that could change.

about 8 or 9 years ago I broke up with a long-time girlfriend (dated and lived together for about 3 years) and about 2 months later I found out my roommate was sleeping with her, sneaking her into the house I was renting under my own name (and had let him stay after he lost his job, girlfriend) after I was asleep or at school, etc.

I got pretty pissed because I wanted her OUT of my life, the buddy rule, etc. And then he ended up getting her pregnant, and for some reason seemed to blame me for his misfortune and tried to make my life his version of hell.

Well, landlords, cops and lawyers later, I forced him to move out. They kinda stalked me together for a while, making veiled threats, etc. Never could figure out what she told him to make him suddenly hate me so much. After they moved him out, I moved and just ignored them, then they left the state. Story over, I guess.

So no, I don't have any enemies that I know of...

and they lie in heaps about me.

My current enemy is a former olympic gold medalist. He is a wannabe corporate suck ass who failed to cash in and is now teaching. He has no desire to help or inspire. He says he teaches for the money and patronizes and condescends to his classmates who care and are committed. He admits to taking delight in fucking with me. I think he resents my not being intimidated by his punk social bully act. I believe he in turn considers me a racist for not bowing down to his gold medal status and self percieved social standing. He tried to publicly embarrass me in the lobby of our school building the other night. I put aside my desire to rip him a new asshole and succinctly and forcefully told him that I do not appreciate his attempt to amuse himself at my expense and it NEEDS TO MOTHERFUCKING STOP. My tirade was preceded by the schoolyard fight set up taunt, "AND." So not only was this bitch fucking with my head, once his head game with me resulted in a little too much anger on my part he acts as if he wants to fight. What a fucking punk. I will not back down at school nor will I instigate any shit with him. But if this motherfucker starts up again heaven help his ass.
