Anybody know about "SpyHunter" software? Is this an Internet scam?

It popped up on my screen and warned me that my PC was being monitored. Scared the shit out of me. I am not doing anything illegal, but jeezus what is this all about?

1. Advertising. It doesn't really know anything, but is hoping

you'll buy the software to either let you know who's spying or stop them from spying.

Anything to get your attention. I use Spy Sweeper on my computer and like it a lot. Ad Aware is still free and also works well but lacks some of the bells and whistles.

5. I recently bought SpyHunter for my PC

because my kids have gotten into Kaaza recently and I am concerned about nasty little things that can pop up on my computer. In fact I did it because it had slowed down so much and I was told by others that that is a signal that I have nasty little things on the computer. Sure enough there were about 20 "parasites" on my system and the program killed them all. Things work fine now.

The first day I installed a firewall from zonealert it told me 55 people were using my computer. I thought what to hell is this shit ? It said coolsavings.you know what. was using my computer as a server to send out emails all over the internet. You can set up adaware to automatically do it's thing at start up. I hope this helps you out.
