queer scene in portsmouth NH??
jeremy told there were vegan queers coming out of their ears (didnt mean to rhyme) in portsmouth. it doesnt even have an exclusive veg*n restuarant (though a bagel shop does offer tofutti chream chreeze). and i saw a gay male couple and a trucker lesbian (which can be hott but i didnt like this one). doesnt really constitute coming out of ears.

so if i move there i will be leaving my bi gal-friends and veg*n restaurants. please tell me there is more that maybe i just didnt see.

1. I've never been there, but I do have a DU friend who lives in N.H.
Maybe if I kick this, she or someone else from there will see it and respond!:hi:

Portsmouth is a great town with a lot to offer. Location wise it is only one hour from boston, two hours from the mountains and minutes from the beach. Come on down and join the fun. Plus we need all the liberal help we can get in this state.

3. it is NH
Portsmouth is going to be the best gay scene available. That's not saying much. Sorry vw - it's tough here. I live up north, and it's only been within the last 6 years that it's become kind of okay to be openly gay where I live.

Where do you live now, and why in the world are you thinking about moving here?

4. Portsmouth NH is a beautiful small city
It has architecture that dates to 1630s and lots of small bars and restaurants. My parents go there often for outdoor fairs and concerts in the summer. It is a sleepy little city though, and I would think if you're looking for the gay scene that you may have to venture to Boston.

I grew up spending my summers in Seabrook NH and the New Hampshire Seacoast-though only 40 miles long-is incredibly scenic. Check out North Hampton, Rye and Newcastle if you visit. Ride along 1A-there are stunning views, beautiful old houses and quaint NEw England architecture.
