Why is anyone who responds on match.com...
middle of the road (read: don't follow politics) or conservative?

Do they simply do not know how to READ someone else's profile for compatibility???

urghhhh

GregW--I tried match.com because you said it was a wonderful place to meet others. You either owe me a dinner or my money back.

1. don't give up
i met my sweetie on match.com . she's wonderful!!! several of our friends also met their matches thru match.com . what's the big deal if a few of the wrong sort of people respond at first? you can weed them out with a few private messages, while waiting for the right person to come along.

2. I met my husband on Yahoo personals.
That was over five years ago, though. It may be different now. I think it is really funny that back then, when you told people that you met someone on the internet, they looked at you like you were crazy. Now it is perfectly mainstream to do so. I think it is a great way to meet other folks, and I wish you luck! Is there a liberal singles online network?

3. Well ...
My match.com girlfriend of four months is sleeping next to me tonight ... so it certainly worked for me.

She's conservative, we've just learned to work it out.

Hang in there friend!

4. I'm a match.com early adopter
Met my husband in late 1995 through match.com. We've been married five years and have a four-year-old son. So I'd say it were worthwhile.
