4. ME ME ME!!!
I was born a Cowboy fan and I'll die one.

Hell, my parents are original Cowboy fans. My momma worked for the Dallas Chamber of Commerce back in the 60s when the Cowboys and the old Dallas Texans of the AFL were battling it out for the hearts of the city. Since the Hunts owned the Texans all their rich friends in teh Chamber supported them. So all the employees of the Chamber became Cowboy fans just to be contrary. :-)

I still have a picture of me and my brother in front of our 1973 Cowboy team poster we got at Burger King. :-)

5. I was a Cowboy fan the fall of '60,
that dreadful first season when Eddie LeBaron came out of retirement to lie on the grass and look at the sky, and I figure I have earned the right to be a Cowboys fan for life. (Living in Philly since '76 I don't say that too loud, tho -- esp. when the iggles are as bad as they are now.)

6. Let's see how many come out of the shadows
when they are convinced that the circumstances have changed.

Amazing - sports is a microcosm of people in general.

Why did you vote for *?

Uh, cause he was a gonna win.

Why won't you vote for Kucinich?

Uh, I don't thunk him gonna win.

8. Nope
As far as I know, all the players now have to take a pledge of allegiance to the Baptist church and will therefore lose their soul if they misbehave.

It's a new rule in the Cowboys camp, though I doubt the rest of the league is following it.

13. All politics aside
It goes way back for me. Its my home state, and my home team. I love the traditional Thanksgiving Day game. Dang, if the team is hated, is cause there's something good to hate!
Hate em alll the way to the SUPERBOWL!!! Hahahahaha.

14. If you're from Texas, look at the investigations of college athletes
they are the ones trying to get by with ill defined steroids.

The Cowboys haven't had a player for many years that was known in the "media" as using a drug.

Today is not yesterday.

17. Being born and raised in Texas
I've been a hugh fan my whole life. I try to separate the team from the negatives about the state (rednecks, *, etc. - by the way, Not ALL Texans are horrible people - there are a lot of wonderful people there and * was NOT born in Texas so technically, he's NOT a native). I love it that Parcells is there! I detest Jerry Jones (or whatever that guy who owns the teams name is). Since I've lived in L.A for over 13 years, I now also root for the Niners, the Chargers, and yes, even the Raiders.

21. as a former oilers fan( now a titan fan)......
i always wanted to see a cowboy/oilers superbowl...but alas...

perhaps in a few years a texans/cowboys match-up.....

really though, it's great to see the cowboys doing a turn-around. i have always rooted for the 'boys in the NFC and the team formerly(and even when the were not formerly)known as the houston oilers in the AFC. saw to many games in the astrodome and waved to many "luv ya blue" flags as a kid to be a total cowboy devotee.....
