Here's where you list your small electrical kitchen appliances
Cuisinart
stand mixer
hand mixer
pasta machine
electric wok
toaster
crock pot
deep fryer
blender
drink mixer
Braun hand-held blender thing with mini food-proc attachment
milk frother
bread machine
two wafflers, regular and Belgian

Wow, I didn't think I had so many gadgets. Except I use them all on a regular basis, more or less.

1. My stuff
Kitchenaid mixer
Rice steamer (I use this alot)
Toaster
Coffee maker
Coffee grider
Palm mixer/blender with food processor attachment (easily the most useful appliance I own)
Waffle Iron
Blender (hardly ever use it)

I'd really like to get a pasta maker and meat slicer though. I've considered a bread machine, but I really enjoy making it the old fashioned way.

3. I don't have/need many
Edited on Sun Oct-19-03 06:32 PM by SoCalDem
coffee maker
hand mixer
food processor
Baumann waffle iron..(wedding gift 33 years ago)

um... that's all..

I still use a rolling pin & cutter for pasta

I use a breadboard & my hands for bread

I cook PERFECT rice, every time with my 50 yr old pot that my aunt gave me years ago..

I guess I am in need of more kitchen gadgets.. I do love them, just usually buy them, and decide that cleaning them is a bigger pain than it's worth, and then I give them away :)

edited to ad the meat slicer that I use occasionally :)

4. Not really an appliance but important to me
A small, 20 year old, 5" black and white TV sits on my kitchen table.

For some reason, young children love it.

5. small list
coffee bean grinder
coffee pot
microwave

I used to be a professional cook. When I quit cooking, I quit - for real. I have never turned on the oven in my apartment - in the year and a half I've lived here.

I do have some fabulous knives, languishing in the drawer.

10. Well, OK:
Blender, toaster, Cuisinart, little Black and Decker food processor (known to us as the "mini chop chop"), coffee maker, coffee grinder (usually for spices), in-bowl blender....waffle iron, electric wok (now never taken out, new carbon steel wok kicks butt), crockpot...

Oh, I use the DeWalt cordless drill as a mixer! Anyone else do that? :)

12. Two lists & a guilty wish
Used often: Coffee maker, toaster, dust buster (well, it lives in the kitchen)

Used rarely: Coffee grinder, blender, mini-processor, hot-air popcorn-popper

Really, really want: A Kitchenaid mixer. Given the amount of baking I do (cornbread, occasionally), I have absolutely NO excuse. But--Amazon offers it in 22 colors!!!

15. OK
Cuisinart
hand mixer
toaster
blender
Braun hand-held blender thing with mini food-proc attachment
one waffler, Belgian
Hot-air popcorn popper which I don't use anymore
Tabletop convection oven which I use all the time (just had to replace the old one after 25 years)

I don't think that list is so bad. I have a pretty low-tech kitchen; no dishwasher, an all-gas stove, not a lot of room for stuff.

17. Doesn't anyone else have a popcorn popper?
Edited on Mon Oct-20-03 04:29 PM by geniph
we also have a large and a small food processor, a toaster, an electric griddle, a rice cooker, a coffee grinder and...and...I don't think we have anything else. Oh, a hand mixer. I think that's it, unless you count the microwave.

On edit - forgot the Foreman grill. It gets more use than anything except the popcorn popper and coffee grinder.

20. I do. Want another one?
I'm gonna give it to Goodwill. I have schlepped this thing around through 2 apartments and 1 home, and I haven't used it in 4 years. I don't eat popcorn very often.

22. 2 lists. Owned, and USED...
First, owned:
Toaster
Mr. Coffee
Crock-pot
tiny "food processor" (holds about a cup)
George
can opener (electric)
Waffle Iron
hand mixer (maybe. Think I have one, haven't seen it in 4 years)

Now, what gets used more than once a year?
Mr. Coffee
Toaster

I don't own a nuker. No counterspace for it. Freakin' racing yacht has a bigger galley than my apartment...
