Just to let everyone know-My husband called-finally

He's doing well. He's out of Karbala but most of the company is still there. He sounded good and asked for more powdered milk-I send it and he gives it to the Iraqis. I collect donations of the milk and jugs to send-along with cereals and peanut butter.
We do have soldiers, single ones, who are without family...so they get few care packages and the married soldiers try and share.. or the spouses send boxes just for the single soldiers.
The soldiers would love to hear from people..they feel they've been forgotten because far too many believe "the war is over."
Right now, our company is without a PX and are eating fish and octopus 7 days a week...and MRE's for a change of taste. Being without a PX means they rely solely on care packages.
or some way we can find out how to send stuff to the guys over there.... Maybe some good things to send...its gotta be so hard......
I am so glad you heard from your sweetie....
My heart goes out to all the guys over there ....I remember Viet Nam and knowing it wasn't the choice of so so many to be there...yet there they were.... please tell them we support them and want them to come home safe ASAP!
