How much do you love DU?

There is something for everyone to discuss on DU such as books, astrology, sports, politics, entertainment, movies, anything you want too!!!!!! It is also a great place to catch up on the latest news and find out about events you can attend and meet other DUers in person. One of the best things is discussing an article or an opinion piece, when you read a certain story you have thoughts going on in your mind, well... you can discuss them with others on DU! Also the level of discourse is soooooooooooooo much better on this message board then other message boards, it can get out of hand sometimes but if you ever been to another message board most of the time you see namecalling and other school yard tactics. I can go on but on a scale of 1-10(10 being the highest) how much do you love DU?

Seven's well above average, but not perfect. There's a lot here that's really excellent, and a lot that is pretty good. But there's such a thing as an ignore button, too. That means that anyone can see there will be differences of opinion, in all subject matters.

I thought I was being generous voting a seven. There are no #10s in my book, everybody is below perfect.

I actually enjoy debating everything but as long as it doesn't cross the line and if it does the mods do a good job of handling the situation. Try debating your points on another board you will likely get pathetic responses without substance, If you don't think DU is that great I challenge to find a better message board. I just don't see how you can't give it a 10, there are over 50 different new news articles each day, try getting then in your local newspaper. There are other people discussing topics that vary all over the place, you have the avatar option which I absolutely love and the signature line option as well. I like the PM and buddy list options, just like I said there are so much features, so much stuff to discuss, and so much information you can gain from this place just by visiting 15 minutes a day.

I laugh seeing all the deleted messages sometimes, though. You can almost predict where you'll see them, too. I guess I just can't see getting too exited about avatars and buddy lists.

This is probably the best stop I make for news, but I get tired of seeing all the testimonials for whichever candidate happens to be someone's personal favorite. If it means that much to you, why are you here preaching to the choir? Get out on the streets and take your candidate's message where it can do some real good.

After three hours it should kick you off the server and not let you back on without your parent's/spouse's/boss's/diety's permission.
