Pretty warm reception for the Yankees in Florida...
Do all the bandwagoners in Miami know which team they're supposed to cheer for? Should we brief them on the rules before the game starts?

1. Retirees from New York
Although I'm sure most of them are wondering where Mantle, Maris, Jackson, Pinella and Munson are going to bat.

3. There's a lot of New Yorkers in FL
Not a big surprise. Always lots of Pats, Jets, and Bills fans at Dolphins games.

4. I was a Yankees fan when I lived in Miami.
It was the 1970's, but I wouldn't be surprised if half my fellow Yankees fans there still are. There are no native Floridians on the two coasts. There may be 4th generation folks, but they will still be New Yorkers in Florida. It's a lot like being Irish or Italian in America. The heart still goes out to the mother country generations removed.
