Went to my State Fair last night. Visited the "Bush 2004" table.
Damn are they touchy when you start questioning them about "why". Bring up the absense of BioChem weapons in Iraq and they counter with weapons programs. Counter that with Bush quotes prior to the invasion and they really start getting flustered. I think I almost had one of them cussing at me.
I think I'm going to go back later in the week and wear my "Bush is a Lying Sack of WMD's" t-shirt. It'll be worth the $6 admission price.
I had neve been before and decided it was the thing to do last night. Made a point of finding the "Deep Fried Candy Bar" booth and having a Snickers before going off on my "raid and recon" mission.
Little bit of power point art and a couple sheets of "iron-on" transfer paper from Office Depot. WHen you can't find a shirt or bumper sticker that makes your point, make your own. :)
6. They probably thought it was another work of puke art...
like Frankens Fair and Balanced. To paraphrase the judge: "You would have to be an idiot to mistake this book for anything other than satire." Republicans bought it and were pissed. Well, there evidently are lot's of idiots on the right.
I live on LI NY. I saw a guy park his SUV with Alabama plates in front of the Applebees I went to. He had a Bush/Cheney '04 Sticker on the car. He also had a Marines sticker and something else military. He was actully with is wife too. So when I was leaving I took 2 Clark flyers with the New American Patriotism logo's, wrote "Support our troops. Elect One" on the back of them and left them on the windsheild.
I found it quite gratifying and then went flyering for a local candidate.
Anyone note all the "Barbara" articles in the media these days? Much as some dislike her, she is a positive for him with many, and that is being put to use. We are also seeing more of his wife.
