1. Gloom
That's what I really hate about this time of year: lack of daylight. I feel like a troglodyte.

I had a doctor prescribe me a light box. I'm sitting here now in its fluorescent glow. All it seems to do is remind me how dark the rest of the world is. (Although Mrs. Squeech claims if I skip it I get even crankier.)

And snow in October is bad news too. I wanna go back to Brazil.

4. Meanwhile at N London's Swiss Cottage Library, a bracing
north-easterly is whistling up the stairs, sending the thermometer plumetting way past the trigger point that usually puts the central heating on automatic.

Tight fisted, budget shaving, heartless s.o.b. Labour flagship borough....Tony spent all the money on Iraq and now we're all candidates for terminal hypothermia in the public amenity sector...

5. SNOW?!?!
Wow - we're having record highs down here. :7

This weekend a front is coming - highs only in the 70s. *giggles - flees*

11. hey, no reason to flee
highs in Boston on Sunday are in the mid to upper 60's (not sure about the rest of New England). Although I have to admit, when I woke up this morning I thought my alarm was wrong, and seeing it snowing outside didn't help (it's still snowing in waltham).

6. Completely unfair.
I've got some sled dogs still ticked off about having to train on bare dirt roads and with wheeled carts.... grumble.

8. Jack will be in his back yard right after breakfast.
Cheerios.
No milk.
Just picked with his tiny fingers and eaten, one by one, from the bowl.
Once his fingers are moist with saliva, he doesn't even have to pick them up.
They just stick.
Very convenient.
His first snow.
Last winter he was only 6 months old and couldn't walk.
So that doesn't count.
Now he can run.
Mommy is very very busy.
Wish I could see him in the snow.
I bet mommy will e-mail me pictures.
;-)

It's nice here

Now if I only had time to get out of my freaking hotel room and be able to enjoy some of the sights :(

10. Hello, hello, hello!
Eat your heart out Matt! It's snowing and beautiful up here. I have a fire in the fireplace, I don't have to go anywhere today so I'm going to paint the day away. I winterized the house yesterday (just in time!) and it's warm and snug, plenty of wood, plenty of food, plenty of scotch... :hi:

12. Greetings from sunny Denver!
It's been very warm here the past several days--in the 80's. Almost too warm, believe it or not!
