Assume that California has 35.4 million people

(found this figure on the web)..

If we have an 8Billion deficit, how much would that be per person?? I am mathematically challenged, and my calculator is wigging out on me..:)

My idea is this.. an ad campaign like..

Do you love California??
Take California on a "Date"

a One time $$___ from all taxpayers (based on # of taxpayers in state)..

this would be infintely cheaper than a long term "adjustment" or cutting jobs..

If everyone was doing their fair share, we would be happy to pony up a couple of hundred...if it was a one time thing and eliminated the debt...

or maybe a special lotto game ..:)

6. None of these people were complaining when the BIG LIBERAL GVT.
was paying most of the car tax for them. A bigger car tax ACTUALLY IS SMALLER GOVERNMENT. These H2 driving conservative dillholes sure love BIG GOVERNMENT WELFARE when it helps them buy stuff for them.

by someone other than THEM...

These are the same people who do not mind hiring illegals to clean their gutters, or re-roof their house, but scream bloody murder when an illegal gets "free" medical care after falling off their damned roof :(

4. a good idea
anything that anyone can afford to give to bail
out their state is a good idea....make it tax
deductible.

Hate to see it done on Ahnold's watch but

11. Isn't that Palast's theory about why the recall was launched?
That Davis would never accept an out of court settlement of Bustemante's lawsuit against Enron, but Herr Gropenfuhrer will, so that the crooks skate by paying pennies on the dollar and the GOP get to look like they've taken a bite out of corporate crime?

Why doesn't Ahhhhhhnold just pay off the budget deficit out of his pocket? I thought he was so rich and public spirited and all...
