when your drug crazy buddy (picture Bender from Futurama, but not a robot) comes home with a few bottles of robitussin and says "we should each drink one, it will be so much fun."

He is wrong, very wrong. It is like a moonbounce and the flu on top of a hangover.

But only the "cherry" flavor variety. (Why I use quotes around the word cherry should be obvious enough.) The other stuff is potent enough to take down a horse. Even though the "cherry" flavor is not that much better, I only need it when my nose is so stuffed up that I can't taste anyway, and I down it like a shot. Which is what it pretty much is, to be honest.

I once flew back from a vacation in Mexico hopped up (actually down if I think about it)on a combination of Nyquil and Dramamine.

The medicine in it doesn't work. It is just that your body is so repelled by the taste that it gets better so you don't have to drink it again.

11. helps me sleep when i can't..
if i dont have any ambien, a LARGE dose of nyquil will put me out post-haste. yes, it tastes like shit.. better than going to work on 2 hours sleep from staring at the ceiling all night though..

I was up all night totally tripping! Seriously, really tripping, walls melting and everything! The active ingredient in Nyquil is essentially barbituates and alcohol...

and absolutely MUST sleep and get better, Nyquil's the stuff.

Of course, you have to survive that convulsive combo gag/full body shiver that comes right after you down the dose.

That stuff will get you fucked up faster than you can imagine and it's very powerful. I know people who have abused the stuff and used it in place of alcohol.

17. I can't take stuff like that
Pseudoephedrine causes me to have bad panic attacks and has some kind of interaction with my blood pressure medicine which is maybe why I get panic attacks when I take it. I mentioned that to a pharmacist who said that pseudoephedrine really isn't good for anyone anyway. She didn't think that it should be in so many over the counter medicines.

19. Nyquil - a most excellent drug
when I'm stuffed up and can't sleep because of it, it works wonders-- but cherry flavor only. The original is too nasty.

And I'm so happy DayQuil is in capsules. The taste of that stuff is like drinking gasoline. (At least I imagine it to taste like gasoline, I do not know what gasoline tastes like but suspect it is totally nasty.)
