Anybody try the Double Quarter Pounder?
Any McDonald's U. graduates who can enlighten us as to why it isn't the Half Pounder? Worst name/title since The Last Seduction II...

a double quarter pounder...

I won't support fast food places, they treat employees like peasants, use too many chemical additives in their food, huge republican corporations, exploit farm workers, they pollute and they kill animals, fuck up rainforest's, etc. etc.

Plus I don't eat dead animals.

6. Haven't eaten meat in years as a rule...and I used to love my steaks,

burgers, ribs and pork chops...after a while you just don't miss it and it so fucking easy...but now and then I do miss a good cheeseburger...so if someone I know is cooking them up, I'll try one...and after a couple of bites, I realize, OK...I don't miss it. Shit, I'm not religious about it...I'll have a rib or two once a year and I have friends who are huge meat eating people, who would never consider not eating their tri tips, pork roast, etc...if you try it and use lots of spices in your pasta sauces and other ways of cooking you don't really miss it...I've maded my very spicy hot pasta sauce (lots of garlic, virgin olive oil, three kinds of onion, mushrooms, green bell pepper, cayenne peppers, lots of thyme, oreagno, parsley, bay leaf, fresh basil & rosemary, red wine, honey, fresh tomatos diced, and tomato sauce, with salt and pepper, top it off with parmasean cheese ) for my meat eating friends and they love it and never mention "where's the beef?" Or my Lasagna with six different kinds of cheese along with my sauce...you will love it and won't miss the meat. (and a little fine organic bud in the sauce never hurt anyone.)

7. Nope-don't eat at McDonald's
That stuff will kill ya!!! And their new advertising campaign drives me nuts!!! "I'm lovin it"?!?!?!?! That is sooooooo lame. There are just so many reasons NOT to eat there. Fast Food Nation is probably the best, though.

8. Marketing.
Everyone knows what a quarter-pounder is, so keep using the name.

They spent gazillions "branding" the quarter-pounder, and it works better doubling it than trying to brand a new name.

Sounds bigger than half-pounder, too.
