2. Thanks, crew!
I hope the Marlins are not broken up like they were after they won the 1997 World Series.

4. I know I hope not
..this owner now brought them back and is a real supporter for a good team and seeing him tonight so happy he may just keep them going! Great team of guys and good pitching!

Sarge still has some Marlins baseball cards and one particular player Jeff Conine in the win of the World Series in 97 and now this win his card will be worth something! :-)

8. I hope not...
One of the things that these 2003 Marlins have done for me as a Marlins fan is melt my heart so to speak. I think many Marlins fans who followed 1997 team and then who had to suffer the aftermath became very bitter about baseball afterwards.

I think this win by the Marlins has really restored my faith in baseball. A team with a significantly lower than average payroll can actually win.

11. This was an awesome playoff season
Let's not forget the excitement that the Chicago Cubs and the Boston Red Sox brought to the playoffs. Were it not for the hapless Steve Bartman and for Boone's homerun, we would have seen these two unlucky teams in the World Series for the first time in eons.

Thank you for a great Series and a excellent season!

3. Josh Beckett was awsome
He played some of the best World Series ball by a pitcher that I've seen in a LONG time! :-)

12. Thanks
The Yankees showed a lot this postseason, as they always do. They came back and beat Boston when they were down in Game 7.

Beckett is really incredible. He's definitely in for a pay raise. He only made around $1.75 million this season. Hopefully we'll be the one to pay him.

:hi:

9. Yup, congrats to the fish
I really hope they can keep it up and don't have a repeat of '98. Josh Beckett should be a Marlin for years to come. If he's a Yankee next year I'll be mildly disappointed.

10. I don't think it will be like 98..
No Wayne Huizenga to gut the team as happened then.

16. I was especially glad to see Ivan Rodriquez win the Series.
Been watching him since he was sixteen.A lock for the Hall of Fame, maybe the best catcher ever, and all around good guy who never would have won with the Rangers.

They've never lost a post-season series! What a record. I'm jealous.

Great series. Way to go, guys!
