Strong second for Smarties.

8. Yum! Smarties!
I love those things, my second fav after chocolate.

Smarties are small SweetTarts. You get them in a roll. And they are sour.

7. They used to come in little boxes
But when I was a kid, we all knew who we trick or treated from, and you could score stuff like popcorn balls and not worry.

Nowadays you can't do that.

29. mmmm.... Smarties
Besides Milky Way, they were my fave.

There were no Kit Kat Bars or Reese's Pieces when I was a kid. Feeling old today.

14. How about now?
We weren't allowed to trick or treat when I was a kid. My mom was very paranoid about razors in the apples.

However, I just ate a delicious Reese's Peanut Butter Cup out of my Halloween to-be-given-to-kids stash. I see my husband has been in the snack-sized Snickers.

20. Those black-and-orange-wrapped peanut butter kisses
that you just have to chew and chew and chew until eventually they are almost soft enough to swallow. Then you choke on them a little. Yummy!

I also have a particular fondness for Pixie Stix, especially as that straw is just about perfect for snorting them but don't do that when you've got a job interview 'cause the interviewer might ask you a questin and then your nose starts bleeding and he says "are you on coke" and you say no and he says "I think you're on coke, don't bogart" and you say no and then he says you can have the job if he can have some coke and then he steals your Pixie Stix what a bastard!

21. Bad Pixie Stix story....
Some years ago, a child in the Houston area died from poison after trick or treating--the poison was mixed into a Pixie Stix (singular of Stix?).

Eventually, his father was proven to be the murderer--he'd just taken out a large insurance policy on his son. However, the situation put a damper on trick or treating for a while....

Halloween isn't the same without it. Makes your teeth disintigrate in your mouth...not in your hands.

Pennies. Ugh! They taste terrible. Hard to bite down on, and no flavor.

I like the candy corn, though. :)
