I saw a huffer today.
For those who don't know what a huffer is, it is a person that is addicted to paint spray. It is extremely dangerous and damaging to the body.

Anyway, I was on a bus stop waiting for my bus, where I saw this guy who was barefoot. I was wondering why he was barefoot, but soon enough I see him carrying a bottle of Mountain Dew totally white on a green plastic, and saw him spray paint spray twice to get "high", and also he was drinking. At the same time, he is doing his part to Denver by picking up the trash with his bare foot. That was a very odd act.

Have you ever seen a huffer?

1. Is it just Denver?
I see more homeless people and more homelss people drinking and huffing than ever before. I've worked in downtown Denver off and on for the last 20 years......and it's really bad.

6. I saw one on the bus once.

He was making the entire back of the bus toxic, and it was winter in Minnesota, and the windows were locked, so as not to let the heat get out. They had to call the cops and get us a new bus, took for-freakin-ever! Thankfuly I wasn't in a hurry. The whole situation sucked; couldn't stay on the bus, but it was so cold out.

8. I married an ex-huffer.
He wasn't quite as bad as the fellow you describe, though. He stopped about the time he moved out of his mother's house when he was 17. Huffing is a very sad problem and it is very dangerous. My husband has cerebal palsy, and his huffing really screwed up his coordination even more. He will be paying for his mistakes his whole life.
