I just came back from an Irish wake

and I'm sober. (Actually, I was the designated driver.) Why is it that all the Irish can sing after a couple of drinks? And, why is it that wakes are usually the best parties? Is it because the Irish believe in the celebration of the life of the deceased and the belief that they are going to a better place? I think so.

without any drinks...but it's as good an excuse as any for bursting into song.
