Poll question: What other plagues are in store for California?
So as if we Californians haven't had enough woes, what else does God have in store for us. Below are some disasters that could happen, but I haven't thought of everything so add your own.

1. I've been waiting since 1966
for the whole state to fall off into the ocean when "the big one" hits! Then the beachfront property will be in Nevada!

8. Until recently
there was a mass exodus of them (ever wonder why Idaho has been getting so Republican), but now that Arnold's elected, who knows what will happen.

10. The horror is right.
I think she should run against Arnold for Governor instead. She's much better qualified and unlike Arnold has her own boobies she can fondle.

12. And Lo! the price of gas did rise to $3.50 a gallon
and the Californians walked the streets rending their bikinis and saying "Who are we, that God has seen fit to punish our vehicles?"
And the Evian ran red with blood for forty days and forty nights.

28. I know, believe me, I know
And it hurts me to no end to have been able to see what was at stake in the recall from Iowa and understand the gravity a lot more than most of the voters of CA did. (not to mention more than a few CA morans right here in DU that refused to acknowledge the big picture)

Being right isn't much consolation either.

I think you really meant to say "plague"
A "plaque" is a sign or that crud that collects on your teeth or in your arteries...

19. Well done, Clete!
Those are hilarious eventualities. I especially like the thought of Beverly Hills and the Valley merging. Just imagine: instant 1,000% upgrade in the Valley malls, and snobby matrons turning into Vals before our very eyes.

I also like the thought of the wine country being taken over by teetotalers. It would last about five seconds, and entire populations of fundamentalists would be stripped forever of their desire to "reclaim our Godly nation."

Well done!
