I'd go for the MIT. Seems to be the geekiest and better-located place in the Universe.

(Also the alma mater of Richard Stallman, founder of the Free Software Foundation)

6. My son turned down MIT.
Doesn't that sound pompous?? Actually they were only going to give him $10,000 a year and Berkeley offered a free ride so he went west. MIT was #1 in engineering and Berkeley and Stanford were tied for #2 so it was not a big drop. I found MIT pretty cold emotionally.

9. University of Arkansas in the 1970's
Been there, done that and it was great. Fayetteville was a sweet little party town back then, now its a big party town. Great Arts and Science College. Very fine faculty and the off campus activities were congenial to seven day a week happy times. And the football and basketball teams and the track squad were worth cheering for. Extremely beautiful campus but as an Alumnus I digress with my biases.

Go Hogs Go!

19. No longer for women only
For better or for worse (IMO for worse) Wells College is admitting its first men this fall.

It is a beautiful campus. I used to live right across Cayuga Lake from it. I'd take my boat over there and give the summer students rides. Just boat rides in groups, to answer the inevitable questions....
