2. Does that happen often or just occasionally?
I've had insomnia for about a year now. I can sleep, but not usually before 3-5 AM.

3. Perhaps it's your screen name.
It's only 11:15 central time. According to this, you'd still be awake for another 45 minutes. :)

6. Ah, maybe that's the trouble
Usually I just conk out. Actually, my sleeping has been so unrefreshing lately I'm worried about having sleep apnea and will be seeing my doctor in a day or two. I think anxiety from this isn't helping.

Of course, napping next to me toddler from 3-6 this afternoon doesn't help me fall asleep either...

8. Old Fashioned Remedy for this.......
one cup hot water, one tablespoon cider vinegar, one tablespoon honey. The brain is depleted of Potassium when you can't sleep.......this helps replenish it. Try it, it tastes like hot apple cider! Given to me by a Tia Chi teacher many moons ago.

11. join the club
I seem to have a bad habit lately of passing out for about an hour (tonite it was 11-12, couldn't keep eyes open), then waking up and being unable to get back to sleep. Four hours later now, still wide awake and I know when husband gets up at 8 I'll be up again. CRAP!!
