1. Spit-shine
Many player cleaning kits exist as do kits that clean DVD discs themselves.

$10, more or less.

2. Yup.
And make sure that you clean from the spindle hole - out. No circular motions.

16. Please post it. It just seems that window cleaner would be too
strong for them. They also have ammonia.

11. Actually with CDs, anyways, you can actually wash them off with
a soft rag, mild soap like shampoo, rinse and fold a towel around it. I've done it myself.

17. Windex and a soft clean cloth.
Wipe straight - from the hole to the edge. Never in circular motions.
