Just 10 minutes in LBN did that to me. God, I feel so desperate for these poor people on the Gulf Coast!

1. LBN tends to mess w/ me too.
I always leave there angry over something or another. I'm afraid to get anywhere near there right now.

4. Good.
Sounds to me like you definitely have an EEOC claim; I'm pretty furious at his sexist comments, too. Kick ass and take names!!

6. I tried to go to the lake yesterday and didn't have the heart for it.
The wind came up and there were white caps on the lake, small ones, but still! The water was just a tad too cold for swimming and I was afraid a boat wouldn't see me and I'd get squished, so I crawled out on a rock.

The wind and roiling water reminded me of the hurricane. I couldn't think of anything but the Gulf Coast and how the puny 15-20 mph winds were magnified ten-fold, how people were trapped and couldn't crawl out onto a sunny rock to escape. When the yellowjacket stung me (multiple times, I might add), I knew it was time to go home.

It was probably good to get out and get away from the news, but there's a rock in my belly and a pounding behind my eyes. No, I can't see straight, either. :(
