Bogus IRS E-Mails
I posted this at GD, but no one is paying any attention

Bogus IRS E-Mails
(WSB Radio) The Internal Revenue Service is warning taxpayers to beware of bogus e-mails requesting personal and financial information in order to receive a refund.

Mark Green, IRS spokesman for Georgia, tells WSB's Sandra Parrish the e-mail directs recipients to another web site which asks for their Social Security and credit card numbers.

"These e-mails they're getting from this web site ... are a scam," he says.
Green says the IRS doesn't request such information in unsolicited e-mails and if taxpayers have questions about a refund they can call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 or they can log onto IRS.gov and click "Where's my refund?"
