A proud day for nursing women everywhere--train 'em young.
Edited on Fri Dec-02-05 04:54 PM by Skidmore
Just had to share this grandma type story. My daughter has nursed all three of her kids--the youngest of which is 4 mos. old. Well, yesterday, her 2-yr.-old daughter was playing with her favorite dolly. She's into her dollies now since she's busy being Mommy #2 now. Anyway, they were waiting for my grandson to get out of school when my little miss announced that her baby was hungry and immediately whipped up her t-shirt and started to nurse her dolly. I told my daughter some of the reactions that people have to nursing on this board sometimes but I wanted to share this story too. She reassured me that our girl had her undershirt on and she would have nothing to do with the doll bottle instead. Offering as a rejoinder to the doll bottle simply that "my baby is hungry."

Wish I'd been there.

1. Very cool
I nursed both of my kids as long as I was able to (about 9 months for both of them)

3. That's awesome.
LeftyKid used to bring me his stuffed toys to "nurt." I've found few things funnier than trying to have an adult conversation while pretending to nurse a stuffed teletubby. :eyes:

4. LOL....
That's a great story! Nursing a teletubby could sure start a Falwell stroke.

5. LOL - my 2 year and 9 month old does that, too!
The woman that has taken care of her the past few months during the daytime is breastfeeding her now 4 or 5 month old son...
