I've heard a rumor that TCM is going away.
It's going away the same as AMC went. Commercials, pandering to the 13-22 crowd. They used to show movies on friday night that men loved. Bridge over the River Kwai, The Dirty Dozen, anything with with guns and ammo. The rest of the week they'd show some older better movies. I guess it didn't work. Now it looks like their pouring out all their pre-code movies before its too late. This is the only true movie channel left, so I'm ranting.

2. TCM is one of the primary reasons I got sat
:-( Sad. My sister Loves TCM too.

I've noticed lately that their definition of "classic" has loosened.

7. Exactly. That's when I started wondering.
TCM showed Old Dark House once in the last ten years, but has shown Bridge on the River Kwai many times. I know it's a business and they have to make money, but I think they shifted away from their original demographic, and now are lost.

3. Phew. I thought you meant Traditional Chinese Medicine. But it will
be almost as bad if that channel goes byebye...it was a tragedy, what happened to AMC -- I doubt I'll ever watch that channel again.

6. What if it is a pay channel?
The TCM that I get now comes with my package, with no extra charge for the individual channel.
