Wish me luck: I'm BBQ'ing a corned beef brisket (in the rain).
I soaked the corned beef for two hours. I then rubbed it with cracked coriander seeds, black pepper, and paprika. I'm basting it with a mixture of the rub with olive oil and cider vinegar. Toward the end, I'll cook carrots, potatoes, onions, and cabbage on the cooker too.

There is a hickory fire in the fire box. I am cooking the corned beef at about 250-degrees F.

2. Someone left the brisket in the rain...
I don't think that I can take it...

Okay, enough of that.

3. I'm cooking in the rain, just cooking in the rain.
I'm cooking in the rain
Just cooking in the rain
What a glorious feelin'
I'm happy again
I'm laughing at clouds
So dark up above
The sun's in my heart
And I'm ready for love
Let the stormy clouds chase
Everyone from the place
Come on with the rain
I've a smile on my face
I walk down the lane
With a happy refrain
Just cookin',
Cookin' in the rain

4. Your dinner sounds yummy.
I just grilled pork tenderloin with a cracked pepper rub. Here the outside temp is 10-F but it was worth it!

6. Sounds great.
Up here we cook in the rain all the time. Otherwise there'd be no cookin'. Bon appetit.

Woof

9. Transylvania County NC has the 2nd highest rainfall rate in the USA.
Behind some Washington state county. We had 30" in the "dry" month of July! Transylvania is also #2 in lightning strikes, behind Hillsborough County Florida (Tampa). I often cook in the rain, but I don't cook in lightning (lest I be cooked).

8. Yum yum!!
Do you do the vegetables as a group in a foil pouch? I'm curious about the grilling of cabbage.

God, what I wouldn't give for a grilled dinner right now.

Sadly, where I am, it's so cold that the propane on the grill won't flow any more because it's liquified.

10. My neighbor cooked on her gas grill tonight...
(I don't know what), but the interesting thing about this is that it was about 22 degrees at the time.

Enjoy!
