6. It ain't easy!
But I've learned that layers are the way to go...I just didn't think that in my own house that would be the rule...

:silly:

8. Yup, layers indeed
I've got three on top and two on bottom, although sometimes even that isn't enough. I don't know how I'm going to make it when I move back to MA if I'm like this now. And to think, when I was a teenager and young adult I used to run around in the winter with one layer and even go outdoors for brief stretches without a coat. I'd even close the heating vent to my bedroom because I liked it cold.

My how things have changed.

3. I'd prefer frostbite in 30 seconds to your governor...
And it's still sad because the doofus on the radio this AM said that with the cold temperatures, frostbite would occur in under 30 MINUTES. (3 below, and that's before the windchill factor, and it's still 30 MINUTES!? Damn. So I went to work without gloves on, got there in 15 seconds, and noted how cold I had gotten...)

4. Well now,
I'm originally from Nebraska, so one Republican doesn't scare me. You should see the asshat governor I left behind! At least Der Gropenfuhrer will soon be replaced with someone less horrifying.

Winter and cold though...I have erased all memories of that shit. :scared:

11. I absolutely agree!
I get a huge kick out of checking Nebraska's temperature and comparing it to LA's.

For example...

Current temp, Los Angeles: 50 degrees

Current temp, Lincoln: -4 degrees (wind chill -18)

And then I laugh hysterically...

Until I remember that in 2 1/2 weeks I'll be back in Nebraska for 10 days... :evilfrown:

But it's ok, because I get to come back, unlike the poor souls who still live there...

9. Days like this, I kinda like Hell.
A "bitter cold front" here in Texas has brought daytime temperatures down into the 50s after hitting 83 on Saturday.
