TOLEDO, Ohio -- An employee at a Toledo, Ohio, school is facing possible disciplinary action for giving a kindergarten student a haircut.
Holly Ingram said she was shocked when her 5-year-old daughter Alissa came home Friday with shorter bangs.
The girl said she got the trim from a school secretary who noticed Alissa's hair was in her eyes.
The child told her mom that the woman had ignored her pleas to leave her hair alone.
The superintendent said schools are "not in the hair business."
He said the secretary could face punishment ranging from a written reprimand to suspension or dismissal.
