ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Not one but two vehicles crashed into a south Orange County home. The home is in the Tangelo Park neighborhood, off of Sand Lake Road. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating.
The two vehicles crashed into the Orange County home one after the other.
"I think a devastating awakening," said homeowner Tina Maldonado.
She had quite an awakening early Thursday morning, when her living room became a garage.
"All I know is, we were sound asleep, woke up to a big boom, went out to the living room and saw a car and a truck in the house," she said.
Apparently, the truck, which belongs to a roofing company, had been heading northbound on Natal Avenue in the quiet neighborhood when the road came to an end at Manduria Street. Instead of turning left or right, the truck kept going, right into the house, and the car right behind it did the very same thing.
"It's surprising. You really wouldn't ever realize what happened to you," Maldonado said.
Unbelievably, no one was hurt, though the house has been condemned. Maldonado isn't sure if she'll have a home for the holidays, but she's trying to stay positive.
"Thank God we're all okay. Material things are material things and, yeah, it's Christmas and all that great stuff, but we're alive," she said.
