The new King Kong: astonishing
Saw it last night. Astonishing. No one stages "digits" the way Peter Jackson does.

Now if we could just sic Kong on the GOP...

2. I predict
this will be the highest grossing film of all-time.

And...it will win Best Picture.

5. How was Adrien Brody my sweet baby and Jack Black and Jamie Bell???
Was Jamie Bell's part blink and miss it? Seems that way.

How did Jack do?

Was Adrien Brody the cutest thing you've ever seen???

Or is it all about Naomi and the gorilla. :eyes:

:silly:

6. pardon me if I find Naomi Watts cuter
but: all were good, and your boy Bell has a good, meaty supporting role, even if his "character arc," as they say, is left hanging...

7. Ew, is Colin Hanks' part big?
I forgot to ask about him, partly because I try to block out the fact that he acts at all.

Thanks for the feedback--I wasn't that thrilled with the original (the idea, maybe, but the actual film not so much) and I don't know if I want to be getting babysitters and the whole nine for a film that's the Naomi show. And I do like her, quite a bit.

I just like the boys better.

8. Colin "How Will I Ever Break into Showbiz?" Hanks
is pretty good in another of the boat crew roles. I mean, he's serviceable, and all. You haven't asked about Andy Sirkis as "Lumpy" yet, though...

11. Oh, I know Andy Serkis rocks the heck out of his Lumpy, LOL.
Andy Serkis is really intense, it's nuts. He was crazy in "Deathwatch", also with my Bell. :)

And -- he does great work, per Gollum, as "Kong"

13. I meant my boy Bell, LOL. Jamie was in that too.
Andy Serkis played a gung ho soldier that was way out there. Wow.
