James Blunt's "You're Beautiful": Holy fuck, what a brilliant song

If you haven't heard this yet, you will. It was the biggest selling single in Britain last summer and it's climbing quickly up the American charts now. Those of you who refuse to give in to your emotions will hate it, but those of you like me, who are sappy and sentimental yet also cynical and analytical, will love it. You have to read the (deceptively) simple lyrics carefully to understand what it's really about (sort of like The Police's "Every Breath You Take").

The rest of the CD "Back to Bedlum" is great as well.

Hands down, my favorite single of the past six months. What's yours?

1. Just heard the entire song today...

and I love it as well. Also enjoy "Breathe" by Anna Nalick and anything by Jack Johnson.
